We Love Daddy Too!

After a long day at work Daddy gets a warm welcome!

Never Too Old!

Thank goodness that kids are really never too old to be held and loved by their Mommy. Kasey is almost 80 pounds and I'm not sure how much longer it will be me doing the holding. I will soak up any love they will give as long as I can!

Sister Get-a-Way Weekend

Kristi being Vanna

Our cute little room. It even had a fireplace

Waiting for breakfast in the Apple Farm restaurant

Kristi and I met at the Apple Farm in San Luis Obispo for a sister weekend. Instead of exchanging Christmas presents we decided to spend some time together. We both arrived about 11:30 on Saturday. We headed downtown and started our shopping trek. We took a break for lunch at a college hangout Firestone Grill. The food was very good. We then continued shopping until 5:30. The weather was very cooperative. After checking into the hotel we went back downtown and had appetizers and a cocktail at a cute place called The Corner View Cafe. After that we went to the movies and saw 27 /Dresses. It was cute. We then went back to the hotel and climbed into our cozy beds and fell asleep. After a great breakfast we headed back home to our families. It was a wonderful weekend! I loved being able shop, eat and sleep without any timelines or kids to worry about. I'm looking forward to our next year's trip.

A Reminder of God's Promise

As I was driving home from San Luis, I approached Camarillo and saw a beautiful rainbow. It was a welcome sight after my rainy drive. When I see rainbows, which I have often these past few days, it reminds me of God's promise and it makes me happy. I am so thankful for all that He has given to me!

Goof Ball

These Chicken Little glasses are a sorce of daily entertainment for my children. I can't help but take their pictures. Boy they are going to be bummed when I show their future spouses.

Here we come KFC!

Kasey, Kendyll, Will and Kolby in the hen house.
Check out the Afro Head chickens...

Here are the kids visiting their chickens at Grand's house. Grand is a close family friend who bought chicks a few months ago. She has graciously let each of my kids have a chicken of their own. Thankfully they will live with the others at Grand's house! We went to visit, clean and feed them yesterday. I never realized how big chicken's poop really is. The kids had a great time watching them run around the coop. We are looking forward to when they start laying eggs. How many city kids get to gather eggs?? Thanks Grand for sharing with us!

I Can See You!!!!

Kolby got these great Chicken Little glasses. When he wears them and needs to see something he lifts them to the top of his head. It cracks me up as there are no lens', they are empty. He looks so studious when he wears them.

My Grandpa's wife' sister (ok I know that sounds like a tale but it's true) makes stockings for all of the family. She made these beautiful stockings for our kids. The stockings stay at my Grandpa's house and get filled at Christmas. Shea did such a beautiful job!

Tiny Bubbles

You can never have enough pictures of bubble beards. Kolby asked me if I would get my real camera and take this picture. He said real because there are times when getting the camera isn't possible or I'm just too lazy to get it so I take a fake picture with my hands. Usually this satisfies them but not last night. I'm glad he insisted cuz this is darn cute!

Visit to Auntie Sissy's and Uncle Robbie's

A Mitchell Kid sandwich

Gavin (my darling nephew) and Kasey hanging at the beach. I love this photo. Gavin only wanted his Mom, Dad or Kasey. I thought it was precious that he wanted to be with Kasey.

Kasey, Auntie Sissy (my sister) and Gavie
We went for a visit to Aptos, just south of Santa Cruz, the seekend before Christmas to celebrate with my sister and her family. We had such a great time. The weather was beautiful. We had a great dinner of tamales and enchiladas on Sat. night. We all then went to the beach on Sunday. The kids had so much fun playing in the water. We played football, ran in the water and the kids covered their bodies with sand. It was a wonderful visit.

Our visit to Gemini Street

Kolby with "Blue" and hot chocolate.

We have this wonderful street in Camarillo that goes all out with decorations. This night Santa came for all of the kids to tell him what they would like. The home that Santa sits in front of had a garage filled with cookies and hot chocolate. It was a chilly night and we all had so much fun.

Universal Studios

We went to Universal Studios on 12-19. It was a good time. We were walking in and I was clicking away on the camera when all of a sudden my camera beeped and it read "memory full." This puzzled me as I have a big card and not many pictures. WELL... I left that big card in my computer so I really was out of memory as the camera only stores 10 pictures. So, here are a few from our trip and we will get more the next time we visit.
